Overview

A rapidly growing deep tech company with a HQ in Paris is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join its mission-driven team revolutionizing microbiological diagnostics. In this role, you’ll apply your machine learning expertise to multimodal data, working closely with engineers and scientists to push the boundaries of automation, analytics, and detection in the industrial microbiology space.

Responsibilities

• Lead innovation by exploring and implementing fresh approaches to improve model accuracy and efficiency.
• Design and apply advanced techniques in areas such as generative modeling and unsupervised learning.
• Keep pace with the latest progress in computer vision and deep learning, translating research insights into practical solutions.
• Play a key role in a multidisciplinary initiative at the intersection of machine learning, life sciences, and optics, aimed at transforming microbiology quality assurance.

Your Background

• Advanced degree (PhD, Master’s, or equivalent) in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Industry experience in computer vision and / or deep learning.
• At least 7 years of professional experience.

Technical Expertise

• Strong ability to review, interpret, and apply the latest research literature.
• Proficiency in PyTorch for building, training, and deploying models.
• Hands-on experience in at least one of the following: semantic segmentation, image generation, or unsupervised learning.
• Solid programming background, with a focus on clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
