A growing insurance company based in Paris is seeking a Senior Pricing Analyst to shape retail pricing strategies across its Collective Risk Pools in the UK and EU. The ideal candidate will have 3-5+ years of experience in personal lines pricing and strong analytical skills. You will work closely with various teams to optimize pricing and drive growth while enjoying a remote-first work culture with numerous benefits.

About The Role

We're looking for a sharp and commercially minded Senior Pricing Analyst to help shape and optimise retail pricing strategies across our Collective Risk Pools in the UK and EU. You'll embrace the unique challenges and opportunities of Laka's Collective model, building models and insights that drive growth, retention, and profitability. Working closely with Retail, Product, Marketing and Data teams, you'll turn complex data into clear, actionable strategies while contributing to the development of our pricing capabilities and mentoring junior colleagues along the way.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and optimise Retail Pricing Strategies and build Models across our Collective Risk Pools for the UK and EU to enable growth, retention, and profitability
  • Take on the unique pricing challenges and leverage the opportunities that Laka's Collective model presents
  • Partner closely with the Retail, Product and Marketing teams to understand customer acquisition dynamics, latest product trends and price sensitivity
  • Monitor and report on the performance of Laka's risk pools (conversion, retention, loss ratio, margins) by collaborating with the data team and building relevant monitoring dashboards
  • Deliver clear, actionable insights from data and present them to wider the Laka Teams in a way that drives decision-making
  • Assist in mentoring junior team members of the insurance team
Requirements
  • 3-5+ years of experience in a personal lines pricing role, with a focus on building and updating personal lines pricing models
  • Strong analytical and technical skills; with experience of model building for personal lines
  • Are motivated to challenge ‘the way things have always been done' in insurance
  • Have the ability to share your impeccable technical knowledge with stakeholders and other teams in a simple and concise way
  • Are comfortable being both strategic and operational delivering what needs to be done right now, with one eye on the future of pricing at Laka
  • Are comfortable with a fast-moving pace, and getting involved in a range of tasks and projects relating to your role - you're excited about the contribution you can have in a high growth scale up!
  • Are inspired by Laka's purpose and have a willingness to sink your teeth into the role
