A global Technology and Media organisation is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer for their Developer Experience & Productivity Engineering team. The role involves building a new API gateway, leading a migration from RabbitMQ to Kafka, and maintaining platforms and systems. Candidates should have strong experience in building self-service platforms and hands-on Kafka expertise. This position offers high autonomy and the opportunity to shape internal developer tooling, making a significant impact on engineering initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong experience building self-service platforms for developers.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka in production.
• Ability to work autonomously while taking architectural direction.

Responsabilités

• Build out a new API gateway and support a broad rebuild of the development environment.
• Lead the migration from RabbitMQ to Kafka for internal big-data systems.
• Participate in a rotation handling developer requests and operational tasks.
• Monitor and maintain platforms and systems deployed, particularly Kafka.
