Are you a ambitious Microbiologist who is ready to revolutionize microbiology quality control within Industrial Manufacturing?

We’re working with one of Paris' most exciting deep-tech start-up's, who are building rapid, next generation microbiological testing systems, powered by advanced optical systems and deep learning technologies.

Current methods are out dated, and the time it takes to get results is taking too long, the system we are building are able to detect bacterial contamination in seconds, not days.

Having raised significant funds within the last 3 years, they are growing rapidly. We are now looking for an R&D Microbiology Engineer to join a dynamic team of scientists, engineers, and product experts.

What You’ll Do

• Experimental Design & Strategy – Design and lead microbiology experiments to support product development. Define methodologies and set clear scientific objectives.
• Project Leadership – Coordinate cross-functional R&D projects involving hardware, software, and machine learning teams. Mentor junior scientists and technicians.
• Quality & Compliance – Implement scalable lab practices that ensure rigor, traceability, and safety, while supporting process improvements.
• Scientific Communication – Represent the company in scientific discussions, contribute to publications, patents, and conferences.
• Data Analysis & Tech Transfer – Interpret experimental results and translate them into actionable industrial protocols, working closely with data and hardware teams.

About You

• Education : PhD or Master’s in microbiology, biotechnology, or related field.
• Experience : 3+ years of hands‑on R&D in an industrial or applied research setting.
• Expertise : Strong knowledge of bacterial culture techniques, microbiological assays, and contamination monitoring.
• Project Management : Proven track record leading scientific projects and cross‑team initiatives.
• Data Skills : Ability to interpret complex datasets; familiarity with Excel, Python, or R is a plus.
• Communication : Fluent in French and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Mindset : Curious, proactive, and comfortable in a fast‑paced startup environment.
