Offer Description

The researcher will be responsible for the design and optimization of Gene Editing vectors and their delivery to target specific loci in the human genome in collaboration with differentworld-renowned research laboratoriesspecialized in rare diseases and oncology.

The researcher also tests different strategies and new molecular biology tools.

She, He works in collaboration with different research laboratories and in the context of industrial collaborations but also on internal programs.

The researcher participates in the implementation of new collaborations, particularly in the definition of the research program.

She, He will work under the direct supervision of the Principal Scientist.

Around 10% to 15% of time will be devoted to administrative work: R&D Budget follow up, R&D reports, order of material and reagents, administrative follow up of Grants and Tax Credit linked to R&D….

She/He could also be involved in the writing of grants applications and the follow-up of their implementation.

Algenscribe is seeking a post-doctoral researcher or an engineer with a Ph.D. with experience in Gene Editing or Base Editing of mammalian cells. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in a relevant field and have at least 1 to 2 yearsexperience in gene editing, vector preparation, and routine molecular biology techniques (cloning, dPCR, ect.), as well as mammalian cell culture, transfection (electroporation and lipofection) and flow cytometry. Experience with Lipid nanoparticle (LNP) formulation and delivery would be appreciated.Experience in iPSCis a plus.

An experience in a company is welcome.

Personal qualities: sense of priorities and organization, autonomy, team spirit, fairness and responsiveness. Ability to work in coordination with third parties academic and industrial laboratories.

English is the main language spoken with partners.
