This IHU is invested with a quadruple mission of research, care, innovation and teaching, at the service of the patient. It aims to better understand and treat electrical dysfunctions of the heart that are the cause of many cardiovascular diseases representing nearly a third of deaths worldwide.
As part of the European project CONDUCTION-GTx, we are recruiting a Post‑Doctoral Researcher on cardiac conduction. This research program, funded over 4 years, aims to prove the concept of innovative gene therapies targeting the cardiac conduction system in heart failure.
Main activities:
You will contribute to the experimental/translational pillar in Bordeaux, with responsibilities on advanced pathophysiological and human tissue ex vivo platforms, in interaction with the axes of modelling and clinical research.
You will design and conduct experiments to evaluate the effect of gene therapies on electrophysiological properties and cardiac conduction in advanced translational models.
You will implement innovative approaches such as optical mapping, tissue slice culture and high‑resolution structural imaging. You will contribute to data integration with multi‑scale numerical modelling tools.

Skills/Qualifications
Holder of a PhD degree in physiology, biomedical sciences, bioengineering, imaging, or related field, you have already practised at least one of the following subjects: cardiac physiology experimentation, tissue/organ imaging or electrophysiology.
