The Role: We seek a talented and experienced 'Hotel Engineer'.

Description Brief: As a Plumber, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Staff Engineer and Hotel Engineer with the maintenance and repair of piping, tubing systems, and related equipment, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the vessel. Your responsibilities will include maintaining the ship's vacuum system and carrying out daily inspections as guided by the Staff Engineer. You will also be responsible for performing emergency duties as assigned on the Muster List. Additionally, you will actively participate in meetings, training sessions, and other work-related activities to stay updated on the latest procedures and best practices. Your role will involve working in various physical conditions, including bending, stretching, crawling, and occasionally lifting or moving items up to 50 pounds (25 kilos). Your proactive approach and attention to detail will be essential in maintaining the high standards of operation and safety that Scenic and Emerald Cruises are known for.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 3 contracts experience in rank onboard ships.
  • Valid STCW certificates, as required for the position.
  • An amazing team player with a positive attitude to ‘get the job done’.
