A leading company is seeking an Operation Clerk to manage operational activities related to freight administration in Levallois-Perret. The successful candidate will coordinate shipment details, ensuring smooth operations while working closely with overseas agents. This role requires strong communication skills in English and Chinese, alongside significant experience in sea freight forwarding.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of experience in sea freight forwarding preferred.
• Ability to express ideas clearly in written and spoken English and Mandarin.

Function

Operational activities - Freight Administration

Responsibilities:

1. Report shipment details to overseas agents and obtain SOP;
2. Book space and arrange pickup/delivery, customs clearance to ensure smooth shipment movement and meet customer service requirements;
3. Distribute pre-alerts and relevant messages to appropriate parties;
4. Prepare quotations;
5. Assist the documentation team in resolving shipment issues;
6. Ensure accuracy of bills of lading, invoices, job listings, and records are kept up-to-date;
7. Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

Candidate Profile:

1. College or university degree;
2. At least 8 years of experience in sea freight forwarding (preferably);
3. Knowledge of international trade;
4. Knowledge of sea freight processes is preferred;
5. Good command of English and Chinese;
6. Ability to express ideas clearly in written and spoken English and Mandarin.
