Main missions

This position, reporting to the EMEA sales function of Lallemand Plant Care, supervises a team of 8 to 10 people and collaborates with the Field Solutions, Marketing and Sales teams, under the direction of the VP Sales EMEA (based in Toulouse).

Business Development
  • Define and implement the France sales strategy, in line with Lallemand values and growth objectives.
  • Maintain and develop the customer portfolio as well as the turnover and commercial margin in France (distributors, central purchasing bodies, key accounts, cooperatives).
  • Actively participate in commercial negotiations on strategic and key accounts.
  • Ensure permanent competitive and sectoral monitoring to adapt the commercial offer.
  • Collaborate with the Field Solutions, Marketing, and Sales teams to ensure the consistency of the offer and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor performance indicators and send regular reports to the VP Sales EMEA.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, issues and needs.
Team management and organization
  • Supervise, lead and motivate the France sales team (regional managers, technical sales).
  • Recruiting, training and supporting employees, promoting the development of skills and adherence to Lallemand values.
  • Organize and manage the team's activity, ensure performance monitoring and administrative management.
  • To unite the team around the common objectives and values of Lallemand: passion, collaboration, respect, commitment, innovation, quality.
Sector and technical expertise
  • To master the agricultural sector, the input and micro-organism markets for plant health and nutrition.
  • Provide agronomic and technical support to customers and the team, especially when setting up demonstration trials.
  • Contribute to the training of customers in the use of Lallemand Plant Care solutions.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, forums and industry events.

Technical skills

Required

  • Bac+3 to Bac+5 degree in agricultural sciences, or related field. Diploma in management, business or plant pathology in August
  • 10+ years of experience including proven experience in business development and management
  • In-depth knowledge of the agricultural market, distribution networks, trades, central purchasing bodies and key accounts
  • Strong technical understanding of agricultural production, different crops and industrial processes
  • Mastery of sales, negotiation and business development techniques
  • Proven experience in budget management, sales forecasting and strategic planning
  • Fluency in oral and written communication in French
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools and sales management tools
An asset
  • Experience in the agricultural inputs sector, especially in the sale of microbial products for agricultural production
  • Established network within the agricultural inputs sector
  • Fluency in English and other languages
