Summary

Responsible for supporting the Sales Operating model and Sales Strategies by providing analysis support, managing customer quotation data and sources, and reporting quote metrics and assigned market activity.

Essential Functions
  • Manages and maintains the CRM and pricing databases.
  • Builds and supplies various pricing and quotation-related tracking reports, analyses, and other scheduled and ad‑hoc reports, dashboards, and market analyses from Salesforce.
  • Develops quotations and proposals in support of organic sales growth.
  • Prepares materials for and participates in sales team meetings/calls.
  • Provides data about market segments, business activity, and success rates.
  • Creates, maintains, and establishes all price lists for each market in assigned territory.
  • Manages and maintains correct pricing in SalesForce (sometimes LIMS) for each lab's product book within the territory/region.
  • Develops reports and suggests improvements within the CRM system.
  • Provides sales team support when additional information is required to win business, such as serving as a liaison to the respective lab to ensure the quote is complete and accurate or assisting in the gathering of offline materials such as certifications, limits, etc.
  • Contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of the department's service to its customers by offering suggestions and directing or participating as an active member of a work team.
  • Promotes and supports the overall mission of Pace Analytical by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with customers and staff; acts in a manner that promotes a harmonious and effective workplace environment.
Qualifications

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a closely related field; AND two (2) years of sales support and market experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Required Knowledge
  • Intermediate to complex principles, practices, and techniques of sales and market analysis.
  • Various understanding of the administration and oversight of sales and market programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Intermediate to complex methods to resolve sales and market problems, questions, and concerns.
  • Various understanding of applicable sales and market laws, codes, and regulations.
  • Computer applications and systems related to the work.
  • Principles and practices to serving as an effective project team member.
  • Methods to communicate with staff, coworkers, and customers to ensure safe, effective, and appropriate operations.
  • Correct business English, including spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

  • Performing intermediate to complex professional‑level sales duties in a variety of assigned areas.
  • Overseeing and administering various sales functions.

  • Performing effective oral presentations to large and small groups across functional peers and the department.
  • Contributing effectively to the accomplishment of team or work unit goals, objectives, and activities.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with a variety of individuals contacted in the course of the work.
Physical/Mental Requirements

Mobility to work in an office setting, use standard office equipment and stamina to sit for extended periods of time; strength to lift and carry up to 10 pounds; vision to read printed materials and computer screens; and hearing and speech to communicate in person or over the telephone.

Working Environment

Work is done remotely in a secure in‑home office setting. Work is subject to travel for training and/or conferences on rare occasions.
