Job Description

The Leisure Sales Manager drives all revenue opportunities within the luxury leisure, consortia, wholesale, entertainment, and cruise segments. This role focuses on strategic business development, account penetration, and exceptional client relationship management while ensuring alignment with Fairmont and Accor brand standards. The position reports to the Director of Sales.

Key Responsibilities
Revenue Generation & Account Development
  • Develop, solicit, and manage accounts across assigned leisure and entertainment segments to meet or exceed annual revenue goals.
  • Identify new business through proactive prospecting, market research, sales calls, and feeder‑market travel.
  • Prepare and execute action plans that drive transient and leisure production.
  • Accurately forecast personal bookings, cancellations, and pacing against budget.
Client Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with travel advisors, consortia partners, wholesalers, production companies, and entertainment accounts.
  • Conduct property tours, site inspections, advisor experiences, and FAM trips to the hotel.
  • Provide timely, professional responses to all client inquiries; ensure exceptional service and follow‑up.
  • Support partners with urgent or last‑minute needs, including overflow, walked guests, and VIP arrangements.
Contracting & Rate Management
  • Negotiate rates and services within approved guidelines and prepare written confirmations and sales contracts.
  • Coordinate with Revenue Management and Reservations to ensure timely and accurate loading of contracted rates across GDS, CRS, and brand systems.
  • Monitor Agency360+, production reports, and booking trends to drive strategic decisions.
Consortia & Luxury Travel Partnerships
  • Manage annual Consortia RFP submissions and maintain strong relationships with Virtuoso, Signature, Ensemble, FHR, Internova, and other luxury partners.
  • Ensure accurate representation on consortia marketing channels and collaborate with Marketing / PR on leisure‑facing visibility initiatives.
Entertainment Segment Oversight
  • Manage entertainment production travel, including rate negotiations, billing setup, confidentiality requirements, and production‑specific needs.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure seamless service delivery for cast, crew, and VIP talent.
Cross‑Department Collaboration
  • Partner with Revenue, Reservations, Front Office, Guest Services, and Housekeeping to support VIP and consortia guest experiences.
  • Communicate major bookings, trends, and market intelligence to operational leaders to support hotelwide readiness.
Industry Engagement & Brand Representation
  • Represent the hotel at key tradeshows, client events, and sales missions.
  • Engage actively with local and national networks such as PROST, GBTA, HSMAI, and Visit Seattle.
  • Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, personal presentation, and brand alignment in all interactions.
Professional & Brand Standards
  • Uphold Fairmont and Accor brand standards, including ALL loyalty program initiatives.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and participate in required sales and brand training.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum two years of hotel or travel industry sales experience
  • Luxury experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships through prospecting, networking, and client engagement.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time‑management skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Able Travel domestically and internationally as needed
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with Opera Cloud, CRM systems, and GDS tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret booking trends and production data.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and customer‑service commitment.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
