A leading company in Oil & Gas is seeking a Lead QAQC Representative to oversee inspection and QAQC efforts related to drilling operations. This role involves coordinating with various parties to ensure compliance with quality standards, managing audits, and leading a team. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in QAQC within the oil and gas sector, and will initially be based in Paris before relocating to Suriname.

Qualifications

  • At least 15 years in Oil & Gas, with 10 years in QAQC related to drilling.

Job Dimensions

The service will support TEP Suriname's Drilling and Wells preparation and execution of GranMorgu development. The Service holder, initially resident in Paris, will transfer to Suriname in February 2026, after which the role will become rotational in Suriname during the execution phase. Core activities include:

  • Managing and coordinating inspection activities at the base as per operational planning.
  • Coordinating with all parties to ensure strict adherence to Stock Transfer Movement and records.
  • Effective audit planning and follow-up.
  • Ensuring equipment readiness prior to loadout to the RIG.
Activities

The Service holder will work with a team of QAQC Coordinators and Inspectors, administrating stock inspections. Activities include seamless coordination and feedback on QAQC activities with the superintendent, D&W logistics team, and relevant parties. The role requires visibility, leadership, drilling, and QAQC experience to promote and enforce QAQC culture as per APIQ2 standards. The Service holder will interface with relevant company parties to ensure operational excellence, continuous improvement, and compliance with manufacturing processes. During tendering, the Service provider will ensure all QAQC referentials are correctly detailed and meet requirements. The role involves assessing technical proposals for robustness from a QAQC standpoint, participating in training, and supporting project stakeholders with routine actions related to PRs and POs, including escalation and mitigation of issues. The Service aims to support CFTs and preparatory phases from Paris and oversee drilling support bases in Suriname to establish robust QA/QC systems, eliminating NPT and ILT. The Service provider will define yearly objectives with the Performance & Methods manager, in coordination with technical support teams. QA/QC activities include supporting D&W service engineers, ensuring vendors follow QA processes, inspecting equipment, performing audits, defining technical specifications, enforcing QA plans, and monitoring compliance and performance metrics. Main KPIs include NPT reduction, QAQC visit reports, API Q2 audits, equipment certifications, and performance of SQMs. The role also involves reporting, auditing, and continuous improvement initiatives, with regular reviews and interface with HQ standards. The context involves working within a multidisciplinary team during the execution phase of a major offshore project in Suriname, focusing on reservoir development, FPSO, and subsea systems, with objectives to optimize economic results, schedule, costs, and GHG emissions while maintaining high H3SE standards. Qualifications & Experience required include at least 15 years in Oil & Gas, with 10 years in QAQC related to drilling, knowledge of drilling equipment, lead auditor certification (ISO9001 / APIQ1), practitioner certification (APIQ2), and relevant certifications. Behavioral skills include strong interpersonal, communication, leadership, organizational, and creative abilities, with a self-motivated, disciplined, and open-minded approach.
