Overview

JOIN US! We are seeking a hands-on International Statutory Compliance Accountant to join our SymphonyAI Retail team, based in Paris, France. As an International Statutory Compliance Accountant within our global software organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate statutory financial reporting and compliance for our international subsidiaries. You will navigate the complexities of Local compliance. Working closely with our finance, tax, and operations teams worldwide, you will help safeguard our reputation while supporting our continued growth across multiple jurisdictions.

What You’ll Do
  • Prepare, review, and submit statutory financial statements for international entities in accordance with local GAAP, and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure or produce where needed the company’s compliance with digital services taxation, VAT / GST on software products, and evolving global e-commerce tax regulations.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, local advisors, and internal stakeholders to support statutory audits, address audit queries, and resolve compliance issues.
  • Reconcile US GAAP Books to local statutory requirements, documenting differences.
  • Support the finance team in month-end and year-end close processes for international subsidiaries.
  • Prepare and review indirect tax filings (e.g., VAT, GST, DST) in order to ensuring adherence to local regulatory and possible changes.
  • Maintain a calendar of statutory compliance obligations for each jurisdiction, keeping abreast of country-specific regulatory changes.
  • Assist in entity set-ups or Rationalization and process improvements.
  • Maintain organized statutory records and supporting documentation in accordance with company policy and local regulations.
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent) a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in international statutory accounting, compliance and audit, preferably within the software or technology industry.
  • Work experience with Audit firm.
  • Knowledge of applicable accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, US GAAP, UK Gaap French Gaap etc ).
  • Experience with digital tax compliance (VAT, GST, DST) and regulatory requirements for software or SaaS companies.
  • Familiarity with software-specific revenue models, deferred revenue accounting, and international software taxation.
  • Skilled in ERP / accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills; fluency in English required, other languages a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, ability to adapt to changing regulations and fast-paced environment.
