Head of Institutional Sales Europe - Onsite | Strasbourg - Space Tech⚙️

A leading European space software scale-up is looking for a Head of Institutional Sales to drive growth across the enterprise and government space ecosystem. This is a pivotal, client-facing role with end-to-end responsibility for identifying opportunities, leading complex bid processes, and closing strategic deals with European space agencies, defence organisations, and primes.

You’ll be joining an ambitious, multi-national team building mission-critical software for the next generation of space operations, from EO satellites to in-orbit servicing platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead strategic sales efforts across European institutional and enterprise accounts
  • Build bid consortia and lead complex, multi-stakeholder RFP responses
  • Develop a full market map of key programmes, decision-makers, and procurement flows
  • Act as the interface between technical teams, external partners, and internal stakeholders
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and accurate forecasting
  • Represent the company at industry events and customer meetings across Europe
Key Requirements
  • 5+ years of commercial experience in the European space sector (enterprise or government)
  • Strong track record in winning competitive bids and managing large-scale sales cycles
  • Engineering background (Bachelor’s in relevant technical field preferred)
  • Start-up or scale-up experience
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strategic thinker with operational drive – hands-on, sharp, and detail-oriented
  • Fluent in English (French language skills a bonus)
  • Willing to be based in Strasbourg (relocation supported)
