The EMEA(LA) Head of Informatics Sales will lead a team of Informatics Sales Specialists for the Europe, Middle-East, and Latin America Regions. They will be responsible for achieving sales and growth targets for our Software/Data Analysis portfolio. The Head of Informatics will be a key touch point for the broader sales team, including Sales leadership and at times Illumina Executive Leaders. They will report to the Global Head of Informatics Sales, and work in tandem with the Illumina Head of EMEA region. The Informatics Sales Specialist team influences bio-informatics data analysis and data management strategies through effective engagement with C-level executives, business development executives, IT leaders, architects, developers, and bioinformaticians. They are establishing Illumina as the pre-eminent genomics, transcriptomics and multi-omics cloud-based and local solutions provider to the Research, Clinical, Pharma, Population Genomics and Healthcare sectors. As Illumina continues to deliver comprehensive solutions to Clinical and Healthcare customers, this team will play a key role in enabling those workflows from a software sales perspective. You are a seasoned commercial leader with deep expertise in software sales within the Genomics, Life Sciences or Healthcare industries. You bring a strong understanding of sequencing workflows and bioinformatics applications, including DNA/RNA data formats and analysis methods. Your experience includes leading sales teams in matrixed environments, mentoring talent, and driving consistent growth. You are data-driven, strategic, and passionate about delivering outstanding customer experiences. A Master’s or PhD in Bioinformatics, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or Biochemistry is highly desirable. Familiarity with cloud-based genomics solutions and the ability to influence at C-level are key to success in this role.
