Responsibilities for Roofer:

- Transport and load/unload roofing materials in truck

- Lay new asphalt roofing material - Inspect roofing for damage and perform any needed repairs

- Clean rooftops by removing leaves, ice and other debris - Install insulation materials underneath roofs

- Use hand tools such as hammers and electric staplers

Qualifications for Roofer:

- Physical fitness level that will allow for quick movement, climbing, bending and lifting heavy loads

- Previous experience in roofing, construction or related scope of work

- Communication and teamwork skills including an openness to receiving feedback from superiors

- Strong work ethic and desire to perform quality work - Ability to read and follow instructions

- Endurance to spend hours working in extreme weather conditions such as heat or cold

- Able to commute to on-site jobs -

Have successfully completed Working at Heights (WAH) training program approved by the Ministry of Labour's Chief Prevention Officer
