A global semiconductor manufacturer is seeking a finance manager to oversee all finance activities at two locations in France. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, strong technical skills in US and local GAAP, and effective communication in both French and English. Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with local regulations, managing audits, and providing financial insights for decision-making. This role requires a proactive individual committed to continuous improvement.

Job Purpose:
  • Manage all MACOM finance activities across two France locations.
  • Strengthen and complement the global finance team.
  • Provide information, back-up, and support to the VP Finance and wider management team.
  • Ensure all local compliance, including tax and regulatory requirements in France.
  • Oversee timely and accurate month-end close and accounting transactions.
  • Maintain and enhance the Internal Control structure, including SOX 404 compliance.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Act as key financial business partner to MACOM Management in France.
  • Responsible for all aspects of France Balance Sheets (US GAAP and local GAAP), including reconciliations and compliance with global and local policies.
  • Ensure tax compliance, planning, and support for the Global tax team; ensure compliance in all France locations.
  • Maintain strong working capital control; partner with Operations and Sales teams to control operational expenses at all France sites.
  • Lead all France audits.
  • Manage, develop and mentor small Finance team as well as manage external advisors in France.
  • Provide management accounting and timely reports for effective decision-making; manage France AOP process and assist in global flux analysis reporting.
  • Interface with relevant government agencies in France (Grants, Tax Credits including CIR, Statutory and Compliance activities).
  • Provide finance support for funding proposals and projects, including preparation of business cases, cost analysis, and post-implementation reviews.
  • Work closely with the HR team on all payroll matters, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing, as well as support for payroll-related audits.
  • Provide product costing support for the fab, including analysis, reporting, and recommendations for cost optimization; partner with Operations and Manufacturing teams to ensure accurate cost models and margin analysis.
  • Identify and implement process improvements in finance operations, leveraging technology and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for finance processes, including dashboards and regular reporting to management.
  • Perform ad hoc duties as required.
Key Competencies Required:
  • Effective communicator in written and spoken French & English.
  • Strong technical ability in US GAAP, local GAAP, and internal controls.
  • Understanding of French tax regulations, including TVA.
  • Good planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Confidentiality and discretion.
  • Team player, flexible, and willing to travel internationally as required.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, especially with HR and Operations.
  • Analytical skills in project and product costing.

Previous Relevant:
  • Work Experience: 2-3 years relevant experience in a similar role within a multinational environment.
  • Big-4 accounting or tax experience desirable.
  • Good understanding of ERP system operation (SAP desirable).
