The selected candidate will be required to go on field service calls to inspect, repair, install, and start-up gear units and other transmission parts on customer sites upon the request of service manager. The technician determines the cause of failure and possible corrective actions. The selected candidate must be able to read and work from blueprints, parts lists, and assembly protocols. There will be use of parts washers, freezers, ovens, cranes, fork trucks, presses, torches, hand, and power tools. The selected candidate will be responsible for disassembling units, inspecting disassembled parts, write up and reporting failed parts, and advise on replacement parts.
