Qualifications

  • 1-2 years' experience in a similar role or knowledge of mass spectrometry and HPLC techniques.
  • Familiarity with MassLynx and Empower software; practical knowledge of quadrupole MS technology.
  • Customer-oriented, team player, well-organized, passionate about innovative techniques.

Responsabilités

  • Provide on-site training for equipment use and carry out preventive maintenance visits.
  • Perform corrective maintenance and advise customers on the efficient use of Waters systems.
  • Handle administrative actions related to interventions and promote training.

As a Field Customer Support Specialist, you will support customers across various lab-based scientific sectors, making your role diverse and interesting—no two days are the same!

Responsibilities

CUSTOMER SERVICE ENGINEER - CHROMATOGRAPHY AND MASS SPECTROMETRY - M/F

Main mission: To provide services related to post-sale support commitments that Waters guarantees to its customers. This includes:

  • Proven knowledge of IT robotic technology and chemistry.
  • Providing on-site training for equipment use.
  • Carrying out preventive maintenance visits.
  • Performing corrective maintenance with an analytical approach to identify malfunctions.
  • Advising customers on the efficient use of Waters systems.
  • Handling administrative actions related to interventions and monitoring installations.
  • Considering risks and implementing prevention measures.
  • Promoting Performance Maintenance Contracts and Qualifications.
  • Promoting customer training.
  • Being flexible as activity areas may change based on installation developments, transfers, or cessation of activities. Frequent travel is required, including national and international travel (USA, UK) for training lasting 1 to 3 weeks.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Education: Engineer or Master’s in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a license with significant experience in these technologies.
  • Experience: 1-2 years in a similar role or knowledge of mass spectrometry and HPLC techniques; familiarity with MassLynx and Empower software; practical knowledge of quadrupole MS technology; robotic systems appreciated.
  • Skills: Proficiency in English; Spanish/Italian is a plus; strong knowledge of IT and chemistry; proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Personal characteristics: Customer-oriented, team player, approachable, well-organized, passionate about innovative techniques involving mechanics, fluids, optics, electronics, and computer science; hardworking, good judgment; valid driving license (B).
