A leading international machinery firm is looking for a Field Service Automation Technician in France or Belgium. This position involves the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of machines at customer sites. Candidates should have a degree in electrical engineering or automation technology and experience in a fast-paced industrial environment. Fluency in French or Dutch is required, alongside proficiency in English. This role offers opportunities for extensive travel and hands-on experience in the field.

Qualifications

Responsabilités

FIELD SERVICE AUTOMATION TECHNICIANS

working in France or Belgium

Your role

As a Field Service Automation Technician, you will be responsible for installing, commissioning and troubleshooting Krones machines at our customers' sites, mainly in France, Belgium and Luxembourg. Working on customers’ sites in Africa or Dom Tom, is possible for those who are interested.

After intensive training in Belgium/France (in the field) and in Germany (Krones Academy), during which you will become familiar with our fleet of machines and the different types of installations, you will join a team dedicated to the following tasks:

• Repair, maintenance and daily overhaul of individual machines.
• Assistance with the installation of new equipment on our clients' production lines.
• Programming of industrial control systems and interfaces with Krones machines and lines.
• Carrying out acceptance tests and training operators and line personnel on the client's side.
• Carrying out autonomous maintenance, repair, troubleshooting and fault correction work on our filling, labelling and packaging machines, etc.
• Rigorous documentation of all actions undertaken, technical recommendations or operator training.
• Representing Krones as an ambassador, with a professional attitude and sound knowledge.

Your profile?

• You are a certified electrician, ideally with a degree in electrical engineering and/or automation technology.
• You have a few years' experience in the field as an electronics or mechatronics engineer, in a high-speed, high-volume industrial environment. Experience in the food/beverage industry is a plus.
• You have all the authorizations to work either in Belgium or France;
• You're technically curious and keen to discover the fascinating world of industrial maintenance of our production lines with a market leader.
• Experience in a field service environment is preferable.
• You are speaking fluently French or Dutch (for candidates residing in Belgium) or fluently French (for candidates residing in France). A good knowledge of English is necessary in order to follow training courses in Germany and to interact with your non-French and non-Dutch speaking colleagues.
• You are a well-organised problem-solver with good communication skills. You are able to examine customer requests and propose appropriate solutions in a professional and customer-oriented manner.
• You have experience of programming with Siemens S7 / TIA Portal and be comfortable using general PC software.
• You are resilient and handle difficult situations calmly and professionally.
• You are a team player who is able to work independently.
• You're open to work on different sites and don't have any problems with staying over nights during the week (and sometimes even weekends) and/or driving a lot. A 9-to-5 job would definitely not suit you....
