As a Data Scientist at YouTube, you will sit at the intersection of product, engineering, and user experience. The YouTube Data Science (YTDS) CoreX Responsibility team specializes in measuring and improving content quality in YouTube's recommendation systems. Our work is driven by YouTube's Four Rs strategy (The Four Rs of Responsibility) and centered around machine learning classifiers and classifier-based systems aimed at protecting users from inappropriate content. We are involved in critical stages of the classifier development process, from the definition of labels (using human or LLM-based ratings) and the measurement of their quality, to the offline evaluation of predictions and the online measurement of system performance.
