Your role

Fastned is expanding electric mobility in France. As Construction Lead France, you’ll lead the local Construction Management team to deliver cutting-edge fast charging stations across the country. You’ll work with leaders from the Director of Construction Management to the Country Director, Lead Architect, and Expansion Lead, turning bold ideas into reality and paving the way for sustainable transport. In our matrix organisation, you’ll connect local ambition with global expertise and drive our mission: making electric driving accessible to everyone, everywhere.

Your responsibilities include the following:

  • Manage the local Construction team, including day-to-day responsibilities, performance reviews, coaching, and recruiting new members. Develop your team, improve the quality of work, and set direction.
  • Create an engaging, fun, and performance-driven team culture.
  • Coordinate with the Country Director, Lead Architect and Expansion Lead to meet project timelines and budgets.
  • Collaborate with other Construction Leads and the Director of Construction Management to ensure consistent practices across countries.
  • Develop strategies for national suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders (highway authorities, grid operators, etc.).
  • Regularly report on project status and reduce bottlenecks in line with a long-term vision and anticipated challenges.

Electric mobility is new territory? You will participate in onboarding workshops to learn about electric mobility and fast charging infrastructure. We are excited to welcome you to our innovative and rapidly growing company.

Who we are looking for

You are a real team player with the ability to think on your feet, take initiative and responsibility. You balance practical work and strategic questions, are comfortable making mistakes and eager to learn. Think like a founder. Please apply if you match many of the following:

  • A Bachelor degree (or equivalent); electrical or civil engineering is a plus
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Good strategic thinking and vision
  • Strong interpersonal abilities to inspire and lead teams, resolve conflicts constructively, and foster collaboration
  • Organisational skills and a habit of improving internal processes
  • Analytical and structured approach with resilience under stress
  • Negotiation, commercial judgement and stakeholder management
  • Near-native French and fluent English
  • Valid driver’s license
