A technology and innovation leader is seeking a Cloud Architect to drive the modernization of applications through cloud solutions. This role involves critical interactions with teams to design modern architectures, support coding improvements, and guide cloud integration processes. Successful candidates will have extensive experience in public cloud environments, containerization, and strong communication skills in English.

Qualifications

• Experience with at least one Public Cloud Provider, preferably GCP.
• Proficiency in Helm Charts and Ansible Roles.
• Expertise in container orchestration using Kubernetes.

Responsabilités

• Act as a Cloud Architect in the transformation program.
• Design modern architecture with the Assessment team.
• Support TCJ in modernizing custom code and COTS.

Connaissances

Thales Global Service is a THALES entity in charge of maintaining the IT ecosystem for the whole organization.

You will join the Thales Cloud Journey program, one of the pillars of the Cloud Center of Excellence. The objectives of this program are to modernize web applications by re-hosting them on modern Cloud Landing Zones, updating the code when needed, and implementing CI/CD principles.

Responsibilities

• Act as a Cloud Architect and be a key element of the transformation program.
• Interact with an Assessment team responsible for designing a modern architecture and with application developers helping to modernize the application source code.
• Support TCJ in modernizing custom code (any languages, any kind of architecture) and COTS.
• Ask for contextual information around an application to plan the complete list of tasks for the modernization factory.
• Identify different alternatives and cloud services as targets for every IT application (300+).
• Serve as the reference for cloud integration, CI/CD processes, and Level 3 support for the modernization squad (Cloud integration and related cloud/OS topics).
• Estimate target cloud costs and compare to DC (legacy) hosting costs.
• Explain complex concepts to business stakeholders to secure alignment and buy-in.

Qualifications

• Experience with at least one Public Cloud Provider (GCP is preferred).
• Strong experience with Helm Charts and Ansible Roles.
• Strong experience in containerization and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Soft skills in front of the business and the ability to influence roadmap decisions.
• Solution-driven, inventive, and motivated to overcome obstacles.
• Professional level in English.
