Instapro, part of Angi Inc., is seeking a Senior Product Designer for its Design Systems team.
Design at Instapro is a multi-disciplinary team of content strategists, product designers, and researchers. We are building an innovative, new home service that spans the digital and physical worlds—from the details on a screen, to in-person, human-to-human interactions, and everything in between. You will be charged with redefining expectations around what’s possible in the home industry by creating simple, seamless solutions to complex, previously unsolved problems.
We value exploration, iteration, and attention to detail. Our Designers are hands-on in every phase of a project lifecycle, from strategy and conception, through design and release. They have deep knowledge across product design - UX, UI, Design Systems, brand - and are comfortable working with an interdisciplinary team of product managers and engineers.
About the role:
This role is ideal for someone who is obsessed with design craft and UI polish, but also thinks systematically—someone who sees patterns, builds scalable components, and loves working closely with engineers to turn design decisions into robust, flexible front-end assets.
In this role, you'll shape how our product expresses our brand, support teams in using consistent, accessible components, and be a key force in operationalising design excellence across the organisation.
This role will join our team and elevate our digital experience. Highly successful Senior Product Designers at Instapro are:
Craft-obsessed
User-centric
Business-minded
Creative + collaborative team mates
End-to-end thinkers
Insight-driven
What you’ll do:
Own and evolve the Instapro/Angi Design System, establishing scalable components, patterns, and interaction models that drive consistency across platforms
Maintain design documentation that clearly explains usage, rationale, and behaviour for tokens, components, and patterns
Define and manage design tokens and variables (e.g., colour, typography, spacing), ensuring they’re optimised for handoff and implementation
Collaborate with engineering to align on token structures, implementation strategies, and shared naming conventions across Figma and code
Contribute to and actively improve Instapro/Angi’s visual language, UI foundations, design frameworks, and accessibility standards
Build, test, and refine components and patterns that scale—from atomic elements to layout systems
Audit the product and existing component library to identify inconsistencies and opportunities for systematic improvements
Support and mentor other designers on how to best use the design system in their product work
Own and manage the design system backlog using tools like JIRA or similar—track progress, prioritise tasks, and coordinate assignments to ensure timely delivery and alignment across design and engineering teams
Leverage UX research and usability insights to inform system decisions and patterns
Stay current with best practices and innovations in design systems and front-end technologies
You are a self-starting designer who actively looks for ways to improve our design systems, brand expression, and product experience. You have exceptional interaction design skills, an eye for accessibility and usability, and are confident in your craft. You have a bullet-proof eye for identifying common design patterns throughout web and native mobile platforms and have an understanding of how to implement these patterns into our product experience.
Minimum of 5 years of designing experiences on app, web, and mobile platforms
Proven experience designing, maintaining, and scaling design systems across platforms (web and mobile)
Deep knowledge of design tools like Figma (including variables, component properties, and tokens)
Familiarity with front-end frameworks and workflows (e.g., React, Storybook, or similar component libraries)
Strong documentation skills and ability to write for clarity and adoption
Experience collaborating closely with engineers to bridge design and implementation
A portfolio of personal or professional projects
Understanding of and a passion for user-centered design principles
Driven, with a growth-mindset and the ability to adapt and grow in a fast-paced environment
An understanding of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and how to build them into system components
Experience conducting design system audits and developing governance models to support ongoing maintenance and scalability
Proven experience leading designers or cross-functional contributors in the development, governance, and evolution of design systems
You can make an Impact. Joining Instapro Group is an opportunity to help crack the code in one of the last big industries to become digital-first. We’re leaders in our markets, yet small enough for everyone to make a real difference.
We care. We don’t believe in one size fits all. Whether it’s flexibility in your working hours, your location, or opportunities to advance and grow, you’ll find a supportive and open culture designed to help our team members thrive.
These are the benefits you'll enjoy:
Highly competitive salary package
Hybrid work environment
Hybrid allowance/benefit
Temporary work from abroad policy
Regular team and social events
Referral bonus
Further benefits depending on location
