We are seeking an exceptional Chief Communications Officer (CCO) to shape and lead our global communications strategy. The CCO will beornos the architect of our public narrative, safeguarding scientific integrity and ISF’s reputation while expanding our visibility, credibility, and influence across scientific, technological, investor, and public audiences.

Responsibilities

This role requires a rare blend of strategic vision, scientific fluency, brand leadership, storytelling mastery, reputation stewardship, and comfort operating at the edge of emerging science. The ideal candidate can translate complex theoretical physics into accessible, compelling narratives without compromising nuance or accuracy.

Strategic Communications Leadership
  • Develop and execute an integrated global communications strategy aligned with company mission, scientific roadmap, and commercialization goals.
  • Serve as principal steward of the organization’s brand voice and narrative architecture.
  • Manage and safeguard ISF’s reputation and credibility
  • Develop a formal crisis and reputational response framework
  • Advise ≥ CEO and executive team on communications strategy, messaging, and crisis communications.
Science Communication & Narrative Development
  • Distill complex unified physics concepts, research programs, and technological innovations into clear, credible, and compelling communications for diverse audiences.
  • Collaborate closely with ISF’s founder, the Science, R&D, and Education teams to ensure accuracy, cohesion, and accessibility.
  • Oversee development of foundational narrative assets (positioning documents, white papers, briefs, executive messaging, etc.).
External Relations & Media
  • Build and manage relationships with key media, scientific communicators, influencers, strategic partners, and thought leaders.
  • Lead earned media, press strategy, interviews, and major announcements.
  • Ensure consistent, high‑quality presence across conferences, panels, public talks, and major scientific/tech events.
Content, Creative & Digital

  • Manage digital presence including websites, social channels, and online community engagement.

  • Develop trust‑building materials for due diligence contexts, including scientific credibility decks, governance narratives, and regulatory‑facing briefs.
  • support fundraising, strategic partnerships, and long‑horizon capital alignment through disciplined narrative framing.
Organizational Leadership
  • Build and mentor a high‑performing communications team.
  • Develop internal communications strategies to align teams, reinforce desired organizational culture, and support organizational clarity.

About you
  • 10+ years of senior‑level experience in communications, brand, or strategic storytelling (preferably in science, technology, or deep tech).
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex scientific or technical concepts into accessible and compelling narratives.
  • Proven track record building communications systems, teams로그ㄻ, and strategies from the ground up—ideally in a start‑up or high‑growth environment.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and messaging development skills.
  • Experience managing media relationships and public‑facing communications, including crisis and controversy management competence.

  • Curiosity about complex systems and emerging scientific ideas, with an appetite for learning in frontier or interdisciplinary domains.
  • Experience working in scientific communication, research organizations, or advanced R&D settings.
  • Background in storytelling, journalism, science advocacy, or public engagement.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑moving, exploratory environment.
  • Perfect fluency in English.
