A leading paints and coatings company located in Lorgues is seeking a Cashier to manage financial transactions and ensure customer satisfaction. The role involves maintaining accurate cash records, providing excellent service, and upholding store standards. Candidates should have previous cashier experience and effective communication skills. Qualifications

  • Previous cashier experience (min 3-6 months) required.
  • IT – Excel, MS Office experience is beneficial.

Job Purpose
  1. Ensuring that all cash/credit transactions are recorded accurately
    • Handle cash, credit or check transactions with customers
    • Issue change, receipts, refunds
    • Gift voucher management
    • Ensure pricing is correct
    • Scan goods and collect payments
    • Drivers cash collection
  2. Ensuring that all cash/credit transactions balances
    • Count money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change
    • Keep daily collection report
  3. Ensuring good functioning of the till
    • Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas
    • Maintain accurate cash
  4. Ensuring a good customer experience at the till
    • Greet customers at cashier desk
    • Pleasantly deal with customers to ensure satisfaction
    • Make sales referrals, cross-sell products in self-service zone
  5. Communicate on customer account issues
    • Report on account block
    • Report on customer payment issues

Experience

Experience:
