A global logistics and shipping company is seeking a Business Development Representative focused on the Transpacific Trade Lane. This role involves developing customer relationships, increasing sales within the assigned territory, and providing exceptional customer service. Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in business development and be fluent in Cantonese or Mandarin, with strong preferences for candidates experienced in trucking brokerage or freight forwarding. The position requires considerable travel, about 50%, within the designated region.

Main Purpose of the Role: As part of ZIM Log sales team, you will be responsible for developing ZIM Logistics’ customer base, by promoting ZIM Logistics’ products and services specifically with a focus on "air" or "ocean" freight and all other value added services in the designated territory of responsibility. Developing long term relationships to create a sustainable, profitable, consistent, and recurrent business. The successful candidate will ensure that ZIM Log meet its business objectives by increasing revenue and gross margin.
Global Sales teams work to fit creative and efficient solutions for ZIM’s customers, varying from huge companies to small businesses, shipping everything from large vehicles to fresh fruit, based on a deep understanding of their unique needs.
Sales work alongside Customer Service and Business Development to create a holistic customer experience.
