A leading international business law firm specializing in advising public and private companies, financial institutions, and governmental organizations is looking for a Business Development Manager for the Private Equity practice in their office in the heart of Paris.

This role offers high exposure to Partners, international teams and strategic firm-wide initiatives.

You will work in the BD & Marketing cluster within an international and challenging environment. You will report to the Senior Head of Business Development & Marketing for PE and manage a team of 2 Senior Business Development Advisors.

You will work closely with 2 Partners and Associates of the firm in Paris to implement the Business Development strategy for the PE practice.

You will be a critical contributor to the firm’s PE business development agenda, driving high-quality delivery, global alignment, and initiatives that support both client evolution and the firm’s long-term growth strategy.

Responsibilities :
  • Own and drive Private Equity pitches-to-end, from strategy to delivery, in close collaboration with partners, lawyers and global teams. Elevate the practice’s market profile through directories, rankings and high-impact submissions.
  • Translate global Private Equity strategy into local action, ensuring full alignment with firm-wide and sector priorities. Use market and client insight to prioritise targets and drive focused BD campaigns.
  • Act as a connector across the firm, building strong relationships with global BD, marketing and shared services teams. Champion best practices, systems and templates to deliver efficiency and consistency.
  • Drive client development and cross-selling, identifying cross-practice and cross-border growth opportunities. Support relationship partners with targeted action plans and shared market intelligence.
  • Use data to inform decisions, leveraging CRM, pipeline and analytics tools to provide clear BD reporting and actionable insights. Track competitors and client movements to shape strategic priorities.
Profile required :
  • Significant business development experience in Private Equity services within a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Solid understanding of Private Equity transactions, fund structures and market dynamics.
  • Proven ability to work closely with Partners and senior stakeholders.
  • Experience in team management is highly desirable.
  • Comfortable operating under pressure in a demanding, high-performance environment.
Salary & Benefits :
  • Up to 86k€/year depending on experience and profile
  • Annual bonuses along with individual objectives (up to 20%)
