An international bank is looking for a professional for the Bond Sales team based in Paris. The successful candidate will maintain relationships with clients in Southern Europe, generate P&L, and provide market insights. Candidates should have a minimum Bachelor's degree in finance and 3-5 years of experience in capital markets, particularly with institutional investors in Italy. About the job

The role is based in Paris and will report to the Head of International Bond Sales in Capital Markets; working closely with Bond Sales teams across regions. The Bond Sales team is instrumental for risk transformation within Commerzbank and closely aligns with the other Bonds’ key stakeholders, i.e., Syndicate, Origination and Trading as well as with the bank’s Treasury, to develop jointly new business opportunities and synergies.

The Sales department is the distribution arm for both the primary and the secondary trading businesses. Furthermore, it serves as the competence center for investor needs with regards to bond products.

As Bonds Sales Southern Europe, you will:
  • Maintain and build relationships with existing and new clients, especially asset managers, insurance companies, private banks and other financial institutions in Southern Europe with focus on Italy.
  • Strong focus on P&L generation out of Southern Europe. Target areas are Primary and Secondary trading flows and generating new deals via reverse inquiries
  • Work closely with Syndicate to provide support for roadshows and other marketing activities.
  • Provide timely and accurate market updates and insights to clients to help them make informed investment decisions.
  • Identify new business opportunities and cross-selling opportunities across different products
  • Proactive involvement in digitalization initiatives and eagerness to help improve databases and daily workflow tools

We are looking for a person with the following attributes:

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Concentration / Major in finance or other relevant fields
  • Excellent knowledge of Fixed income products – with at least 3-5 years market experience and proven track record of P&L generation in capital markets and client facing responsibilities
  • Strong relationships with institutional investors in Italy
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, strong team spirit. Strong entrepreneurial skills are needed
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsProfessional authority in the market and within the company
  • Fluent in English and Italian language; additional languages are beneficial
  • IT affinity and interest in digital developments, programming skills welcome
