We are searching for a Battery Power System Engineer (w / m / d) starting now.
He / she is in charge of the integration of a battery power system in the Mining Division's equipment.
The position is based at Liebherr Mining Equipment Colmar SAS 49 rue Willi Liebherr 68025 – Colmar (FRANCE).
Battery power system may include battery modules, BMS, thermal management system, power conversion and distribution
Leading technical studies, planning and managing product development,
Produces technical documentation e.g. system specifications, component specifications, architecture diagrams, assembly drawings and bills of material
Active participation in the integration, validation and qualification tests of the Battery Power system
Active participation in the industrialization of the Battery Electric Off Highway truck
Close collaboration with Liebherr engineering teams, the Head of Zero Emission, product managers, production, sales, customer support, and external suppliers to ensure the successful delivery of zero-emission solutions.
Specialist in mechanical engineering, mechanical systems, and powertrain technologies.
Experience with industrialization of mechanical products and qualification of mechanical equipment.
Expertise of battery power module technologies and battery chemistry, especially LFP and LTO.
Knowledge of cooling systems and battery thermal management
Knowledge of electromagnetic compatibility, mechanical welding, resistance of materials, and fatigue design.
Knowledge in Multiphysics systems simulations (electromechanical, hydraulic, thermal…)
Knowledge in vehicle systems and energy management
Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Additional specialization in battery technology or energy systems is advantageous.
Strong analytical and conceptual skills, structured and autonomous working method, organizational and teamwork skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Motivated, strong curiosity and self-initiative spirit.
Excellent communication and presentation skills in French, German and English.
Autonomy in engineering office data management software and Microsoft Office (Excel, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint).
Willingness to travel up to approx. 30%.
