A vibrant business school in France is seeking an Assistant/Associate Professor of Product Design for its Marseille campus. The role involves teaching at the bachelor and master levels, supervising students, and conducting research projects. Candidates must have a Doctorate in Design and teaching experience in product design. This full-time position offers competitive compensation including paid leaves, lunch vouchers, and assistance for relocation. The ideal starting date is September 2026.

Overview

Assistant/Associate professor of Product Design (Campus of Marseille). Strategy, Sustainable Development and Entrepreneurship Department.

In the Strategy department, professors teach across higher education and Executive Education programs, encouraging educational innovation and online learning. Classes cover traditional management areas as well as social/sustainable entrepreneurship, business development and small business management, design thinking, eco-design, innovation and technology, responsible management, sustainability, new business models in the circular economy, industrial ecology paradigms, ethics and corruption, business & politics and health management. Faculty research spans undergraduate to doctoral levels, including Executive Education, and supports research chairs and international programs, conferences, seminars, and publications.

Profile and skills required
  • Doctorate/PhD in Design or related field and research production

  • Ability to teach courses in product design and other fields of contemporary design
  • Ability to conciliate theory and practice
  • Strong interest and experience in creativity and design practice
  • Ability to teach courses in English (fluent) and in French
  • International openness and network; mobility to teach in Paris and abroad

Compensations and benefits

Permanent contract / Full time

Status: Executive

Salary: to be negotiated / over 13 months / Bonuses (research, executive education, extra hours, etc.)

Paid leaves 35 days per year + 15 exemption days per year

Other benefits: lunch vouchers + mobility bonus + complementary health insurance

Support provided for moving to France (accommodation search, school for the kids, visa procedures, administrative procedures, French lessons, etc.)

Starting date: September 2026
