Overview

We\'re looking for a detail-oriented and experienced remote Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our client’s finance team. Our client’s business is based in the USA and is a collective of premium brands in the tattoo, pet and beauty industry.

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts receivable (AR) collection and payments. This includes following up on vendor and supplier payments as authorized by management, and resolving disputes related to discrepancies. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining the financial health of the organization by ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency across all AR transactions.

This is a 3-month-long freelancing trial contract (full-time) that can be done remotely at home with a computer and a fast and reliable internet connection. After the evaluation period, the candidate will be reviewed and may be subject to further contract renewal.

Job Description
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Customer Management: Maintain accurate customer information and post invoices and payments to the general ledger.
  • Discrepancy Resolution: Work directly with customers to investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies.
  • Collections: Assist in the collection of past-due receivables.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements to streamline AR-related processes and responsibilities.
  • CASH MANAGEMENT
  • Daily Reporting: Retrieve and store previous day\'s reports.
  • Reconciliation: Post cash receipts, record auto debit transactions, process cleared checks and reconcile cash daily.
  • Outstanding Accounts: Manage reconciliation of outstanding accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Fulfill various audit requests on time.
  • Support organizational goals and values by performing other duties as needed to drive the Vision, fulfill the Mission, and align with Company Values.
Requirements
  • EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • At least 2-3 years of proven experience working in accounts receivable
  • Experience in multi-entity retail and distribution business is a big plus
  • TECHNICAL AND OTHER SKILLS
  • Intermediate Excel skills, including PivotTables and VLOOKUPs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong commitment to excellence and high standards
  • Exceptional English oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and manage changing priorities effectively
  • Proven ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional demeanor and ability to interface well at all levels
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a high-volume environment
  • Familiarity with audit preparation and compliance requirements
  • Advanced knowledge of financial reporting and reconciliation
  • Familiarity with NetSuite software and its implementation
Requirements for Remote Work
  • Eligible to work as a remote freelancer legally or as a contractor based in the Philippines
  • Own computer or laptop capable of handling the demands of big data and financial analysis
  • Fast and reliable internet connection at home (at least 100-200 Mbps)
  • Quiet and distraction-free work environment at home
Hours of Work
  • 100% Remote, Work from home. Full-time freelancer, contractual position
  • 40 hours a week, guaranteed paid shift schedule
  • 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM Central Time, USA
  • Daily Breaks: 1 hour. You can choose when
  • US Holidays off and unpaid
  • PH Holidays are normal working days (during the trial period)
  • Any overtime needs to be pre-approved by the client
Compensation and Contract
  • COMPENSATION: $6 to $8 USD per hour
  • CONTRACT: This is a 3-month long freelancing trial contract (full-time) that can be done remotely at home with a computer and a fast and reliable internet connection. There are no benefits for Freelancers during the evaluation period.
  • POSSIBLE RENEWAL: If the Client renews the contract there may be benefits such as paid sick leaves, paid vacation leaves, HMO health insurance and 13th month pay. Not guaranteed and depends on performance and client discretion.
Reporting
  • REPORTING TO: You will report to the designated manager from our client, and will also be supervised by Big Ideas Social Media Inc, the consultant and service provider (Agency). They provide compensation and HR/administrative needs locally.
Legal Status
  • LEGAL STATUS: You will be classified as “Self-Employed” for legal and taxation purposes. You will not be an employee of the Client or Big Ideas Philippines but a self-employed freelance professional liable for declaring your own income with the BIR and taxes.
