A French research organization is seeking an Associate Research Professor to focus on methodological developments in quantum and theoretical chemistry. The role involves conducting research on electronic structure methods and proposing a research programme that aligns with the themes set by the organization. Candidates should be prepared to suggest multiple research locations, including one outside the Ile-de-France region. This is a permanent, full-time position starting on October 1, 2026.

"1 Associate Research Professors. on the theme 'Methodological developments in quantum and theoretical chemistry, electronic structure (static and dynamic aspects), wave function methods (Coupled Cluster, multi-configurational methods, DMRG), Quantum Monte Carlo, DFT-type methods, Green's function methods, quantum embedding methods,' whose research project fits in a unit primarily attached with CNRS Mathematics.
Candidates must present a proposed research programme that pertains to the themes and sub-themes under Section n°15 or to the above-mentioned priority theme(s). During the first selection round, the candidates are expected to be able to propose two or three locations, with one outside the Ile-de-France region."
