Job Summary
Flexible day rate, full‑time position based in Spain (office). The role starts ASAP within the renewable energy sector and reports to the Commercial Director.

About Our Client

Our client is a Marine Survey and Environmental Consultancy company with accredited laboratories. They specialize in marine environment and offshore projects, delivering geophysical, geotechnical, and environmental survey services to oil & gas, renewables, submarine cables, and ports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the inquiry‑to‑order process and own preparation and negotiation of high‑quality proposals until contract award.
  • Sort potential business opportunities and present the most pertinent ones to the Go/No decision committee.
  • Define the winning commercial strategy for each opportunity, including risk weather approach.
  • Coordinate multifunctional teams (Operations, Purchasing, Legal, Finance) to develop comprehensive commercial and technical proposals.
  • Define the winning pricing strategy while maximizing project profitability.
  • Present the proposal to management (financial summary, planning, risk profile) and obtain approvals to release the bid.
  • Draft and negotiate commercial and technical terms until the contract is awarded.
  • Ensure proposal deadlines are met and conduct a professional handover to the execution team once the contract is signed.
  • Integrate cost‑efficient solutions in offers by working closely with the Head of Geophysics, Geotechnics, and the Purchasing Manager.
  • Adopt a continuous improvement approach by incorporating lessons learned from previous executions into proposals.
  • Collaborate with the Business Development Manager to identify new business opportunities.
  • Participate in trade shows, conferences, and other related business events.
  • Continuously improve cost estimates and risk assessment tools.
  • Carry out other tasks as assigned by the manager.
Candidate Profile
  • Master's degree in Business Administration or Engineering.
  • 5‑year track record managing project proposals or leading work within business development, preferably in the Marine Survey industry.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Pack.
  • English mandatory (100%); Spanish desired; French is a plus.
  • Thorough understanding of Marine Survey operations (equipment, vessel, offshore personnel, data processing, reporting).
  • Strong interpersonal, influential, and communication skills.
  • Business acumen.
  • Meticulousness in cost elaboration and risk assessment.
  • Strong contract management expertise (terms and conditions).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Customer‑oriented.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
