Team Lead, Embedded Development

The team lead will manage the design and development of bare‑metal RTOS and Embedded Linux platforms, mentor developers, enforce coding standards, and facilitate agile processes. You will work closely with other Engineering disciplines and leadership stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the ongoing design and development of embedded platforms.
• Lead code reviews, maintain coding standards, and promote best practices.
• Run agile ceremonies to improve team velocity and quality.
• Act as a change approver for firmware change requests.
• Identify resource needs and collaborate with management to address them.
• Develop and maintain engineering guidelines, policies, and processes.
• Coach team members, provide feedback, and support career development.

What You’ll Bring

• Post‑secondary degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or related field.
• 8‑10 years of embedded system/software development and verification experience.
• 5‑8 years of embedded development using C/C++.
• 1‑3 years of supervisory experience or demonstrated leadership skills.
• Technical expertise in RTOS, Linux, IoT devices, sensors, wireless communication and data transport protocols (USB, NFC, BLE, CAN).
• Proficiency in Python, Rust, SQL and/or Google BigQuery.
• Strong team‑player who can engage across all levels and manage multiple tasks.
