The Catalog Support Engineering team in Prime Video operates in a dynamic, global environment, focusing on delivering the world's largest digital video selection with high quality. We seek high-caliber Support Engineers to impact millions of customers by solving complex engineering challenges with simple solutions.

Key job responsibilities

Support Engineers in Prime Video's Supply Chain provide frontline support for business-critical services responsible for digital video delivery. Responsibilities include managing distributed systems, diagnosing issues, mitigating problems, monitoring system performance, and performing change management and troubleshooting activities in a Linux environment, including 24x7 on-call coverage.

A day in the life

As a Support Engineer, you will:

  • Become a subject matter expert on supported services.
  • Own support activities and collaborate with development teams to improve service support.
  • Operate independently to resolve issues.
  • Understand business logic and architecture to resolve undocumented tickets.
  • Provide training and documentation to support teams.

About the team

The Catalog Support Engineering team handles complex title issues, including video, audio, subtitles, artwork, and offers, detected through various internal and external sources.

Minimum qualifications

  • Experience in technical support or software engineering.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash.
  • Troubleshooting and debugging skills.
  • Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Linux/Unix OS.
  • SQL and data analytics skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong ownership and result-oriented attitude.
  • Experience supporting processes, SLAs, and metrics.
