A forward-thinking technology company based in Barcelona is seeking a Senior Web Developer to lead the development and optimization of their web applications. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in web development, strong skills in JavaScript and TypeScript, and proven experience in building production-grade applications. This role offers the chance to work closely with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver secure and scalable web solutions in a dynamic environment.

Formación

• 5+ years of professional experience in web development.

• Expertise with at least one modern front-end framework/library.
• Experience with building a serverless back-end technology stack.

The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Web Developer to lead the development, and optimization of our web applications. You will work closely with product, design, and other engineers to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure web experiences.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain modern, responsive web applications.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate requirements and UX/UI designs into high-quality code.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code following best practices.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues in production.

Required Qualifications

Experience

• 5+ years of professional experience in web development.
• Proven experience in building and maintaining production-grade web applications.

Technical Skills (Front-End)

• Strong proficiency in avaScript** and TypeScript
• Working knowledge of RESTful APIs.
• Expertise with at least one modern front-end framework/library. We use Next.js with Tailwind.

Technical Skills (Back-End)

• Experience with building a serverless back-end technology stack.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB). We use Supabase.

Collaboration & Communication

• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to own projects from concept to deployment.

Nice-to-Have

• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with performance profiling and front-end optimization tools (Lighthouse, WebPageTest, browser dev tools).

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
