WayOps is seeking a Solution Architect – Logistics to join a high‑performing Supply Chain & Logistics team, contributing to the design, integration, and optimization of logistics systems across transportation, warehousing, and ERP platforms.

CONTEXT & RESPONSIBILITIES

The selected candidate will join a newly formed team responsible for defining scalable, harmonized logistics architectures and implementing integrated solutions for TMS, WMS, and ERP platforms. Working alongside the Enterprise Architect and functional stakeholders, the Solution Architect will translate business requirements into actionable, end‑to‑end system designs that enable process automation, cross‑system visibility, and business agility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define logistics system architecture strategy covering TMS, WMS, and ERP integration.
  • Translate logistics business requirements into scalable, maintainable system designs.
  • Lead design and integration of logistics systems with ERP, planning, and data platforms.
  • Ensure process handoffs and data synchronization across transportation, warehousing, and production flows.
  • Support vendor evaluation, system configuration, and rollout of logistics solutions.
  • Collaborate with functional teams to harmonize processes across regions and global operations.
  • Document solution blueprints, system interfaces, data models, and architecture standards.
  • Act as a liaison between business, integration, and infrastructure teams during design and implementation.
  • Guide technical delivery with best practices for scalability, automation, and integration.
  • Enable data‑driven logistics through alignment with reporting, analytics, and AI‑readiness objectives.
PROJECT & TEAM

The project focuses on digital transformation of supply chain and logistics operations, harmonizing TMS, WMS, and ERP systems for end‑to‑end visibility. The team will consist of logistics engineers, integration specialists, and functional consultants, supervised by the Solution Architect and Enterprise Architect. Close collaboration with global and regional business units is required. Team size: ~8 members.

EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE
  • 7+ years in logistics or supply chain solution architecture, focused on TMS, WMS, and ERP integration.
  • Deep understanding of transportation, warehousing, and distribution operations (inbound/outbound, cross‑dock, order fulfillment).
  • Proven experience implementing or integrating TMS platforms (Oracle Transportation Management preferred).
  • Hands‑on knowledge of leading WMS platforms (Manhattan, Blue Yonder, SAP EWM, Infor WMS, etc.).
  • Ability to align logistics systems with ERP platforms using structured data and process integration.
  • Strong understanding of logistics data flows, master data design, and API/EDI integration methods.
  • Experience in FMCG, food, retail, or complex distribution environments.
  • Excellent documentation, stakeholder engagement, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Familiarity with cloud architectures and modern integration tools (e.g., Boomi, MuleSoft) is a plus.
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into actionable technical designs and implementation roadmaps.
CONTRACT & LOCATION

The position is offered as a full‑time contract as freelancer with a negotiable salary depending on experience. The work will be conducted remotely, following the client’s office hours to ensure effective coordination with the team. The role is available for candidates located in Belgium, France, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Spain, or the United Kingdom (Scotland).
