Descripción del empleo

Senior Underwriter M&A; Tax – based in either Madrid/Spain or Milan/Italy

1. Independent underwriting review of tax insurance submissions.
2. Drafting, negotiation, and administrative processing of policy documentation.
3. Development of deep client and broker relationships to drive regional growth in the product.
4. Positioning and marketing of AIG tax products in the European market through presentations, articles, and events.
5. Work closely with the global tax insurance team to ensure consistency of appetite and underwriting.
6. Foster close links with internal colleagues (for example, claims) to drive optimal outcomes across underwriting and claims.
7. Provide ad hoc support for W&I; underwriters on tax aspects of W&I; coverage as required.

What we are looking for:

• Excellent university degree in law or economics with a focus on tax law.
• Several years of professional experience in an international commercial law firm or Big 4 accounting firm.
• Qualification as a tax consultant or specialized in tax law.
• Technical expertise on tax issues and M&A; transactions.
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work effectively in a team, grasp complex concepts quickly, and demonstrate resilience under pressure.
• Very good MS-Office knowledge.
• Willingness to travel and to market AIG tax insurance product.
• Excellent communication skills in English and either Spanish or Italian.
