A leading aerospace company in Getafe, Spain is seeking an experienced Design Engineer with a Master’s degree in Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering. The role requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in Metallic and Composites technologies and a good command of English. You will develop structural designs for aircraft, support the lifecycle of projects, and collaborate with various engineering departments. This is a permanent position aimed at professional level candidates with a focus on continuous improvement in advanced military projects.

Job Description:

We are seeking a Design Engineer profile in the fields of Structure with a minimum of 10 years of experience in Metallic and Composites technologies applied to the design.

Experience in corrosion protection definition, tolerances analysis, HNC's/Concessions and structural repairs.

Able to work in Conceptual phases interfacing with CE Office and Architects.

Eurofighter: Support to in service A/C's, studies, repairs, modifications, etc

Tasks

As a member of the team, you will develop the following challenging tasks and activities

• Concept, Definition and Development design for structural components, assemblies and installations for aircrafts with modern design tools. Catia V5 and Catia V6 but no limited are the basic tools you will use in context with others stakeholders.
• Establishment of the Design principles, Key Characteristics Design, Interface definition. Active participation on the Collaborative process with Industrial part and Customer through Services.
• Supporting the complete lifecycle of an aircraft in an End to End Process you will use additional modern Tools and Software applications.
• Strong working ties to other Engineering departments (e.g., stress, system engineering, aerodynamic…) interfacing Design will broaden continuously your knowledge.
• Support various stakeholders with technical knowledge (e.g. purchasing, manufacturing engineering, production…). Follow-up of the design Suppliers.
• You will participate applying the state of the art of the design methods in the most of advanced military projects.
• You will have the opportunity to see the result of your work in the final product and to be part of continuous improvement and technology projects.
• Participation in the development of the technological areas of structural discipline.

Required skills

As a successful candidate, you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

• Master degree of Aeronautical or Industrial Engineer (or similar discipline).
• Experience level: 10 years of experience in Metallic and Composites technologies applied to the design.
• Good level of English Language.
