Overview

We currently have an opportunity for a talented Solutions Engineer (SE) to join our EMEA F5 Distributed Cloud Solutions organization. This is a sales and technical role with a focus on customers/partners and is part of the XC sales organization. The Specialist SE’s primary responsibility is to support the sales team with technical skills and provide technical knowledge around F5 Distributed Cloud Solutions to our customers.

To be effective, an SE needs to have excellent technical skills and knowledge of both F5 Distributed Cloud Solutions and the “eco-system” that we work in. We do provide training and certification to keep you updated with these critical skills!

The high-level objective is to achieve the sales target and sell relevant F5 solutions and products to meet our customers' business needs, in partnership with the Sales Account Manager. From the customer's perspective, the SE is a trusted adviser who proactively understands their technical and business challenges and can propose effective solutions. The SE not only presents technical features but also highlights business benefits in the Technical Value Proposition.

What you’ll do

• Work on opportunities within your region/area of specialization, providing technical expertise.
• Advocate and demonstrate thought leadership for F5 Distributed Cloud Solutions by building trust and competence.
• Collaborate with other solution engineers and internal leaders to share ideas, identify customer pain points, and recommend appropriate F5 solutions.

How you’ll do it

• Leverage knowledge of cloud native solutions, microservices/containers, automation, and orchestration.
• Promote F5 Distributed Cloud Solutions.
• Apply business and technology skills using structured methodologies to deliver solutions to technical and business stakeholders.
• Build trust and credibility with colleagues and clients.

What you’ll bring

• Experience in cloud architectures: AWS, Azure, GCP, or other public clouds, and multi-cloud design.
• CI/CD experience with tools like GitOps, Jenkins, etc.
• Experience with cloud deployment tools such as GKE, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible.
• Proficiency in software development or scripting languages like Go, Python, Ruby.
• An attitude of "if not me, then who?" and a proven track record of trust and adaptability.
• BS/BA or equivalent work experience.
