A global infrastructure solutions provider is seeking a Technical Sales professional to support electrical power distribution solutions. The successful candidate will drive sales, prepare technical presentations, and collaborate with engineering teams. A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 10 years of technical sales experience are required. This full-time role involves travel to customer sites (30-40%) and offers a dynamic work environment focused on innovation and customer service.

Position Summary
  • As Technical Sales for the Switchgear and Busbar systems business unit you will be responsible for technical support to the Sales teams, focusing on electrical power distribution solutions from grid connection to servers.
  • You will work closely with customers, Sales teams, engineering teams, and internal stakeholders to design tailored solutions that meet customer requirements and align with Vertiv’s capabilities.
  • Background in the design of Electrical Power Distribution solutions in the Data Center industry or in other large power distribution sectors (Oil & Gas, Chemical, etc.) is strongly encouraged.
Responsibilities
  • Drive sales of the electrical power distribution portfolio with consultative selling.
  • Partner with customers to understand technical requirements and develop customized solutions using Vertiv’s product portfolio.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations and proposals.
  • Review RFQs and identify customer requirements/specifications.
  • Coordinate with engineering and manufacturing teams to validate designs.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and project progress using CRM tools.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience in technical sales with solution selling, preferably in electrical power distribution.
  • Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems and related standards.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel (30%) to customer sites and Vertiv offices as required.
  • Minimum 10 years of technical sales experience.
