A leading engineering firm in Madrid is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a 10-month assignment on projects in Marseille, France. The ideal candidate will have over 20 years of experience in manufacturing, extensive knowledge of tolerances, and familiarity with the ITER project. Responsibilities include completing assembly models and preparing technical specifications. This role requires excellent command of English.

Formación

• 20 years’ professional experience in manufacturing and assembly of components and systems in fusion or research projects.
• 15 years’ professional experience in assembly of tokamaks.
• Detailed knowledge of tolerances and large volume metrology.

Responsabilidades

• Complete assembly models with installation sequence for diagnostics and fuelling systems.
• Install the TF mapping system within the Tokamak Complex.
• Prepare technical documentation for procurement and contract administration.

Job Description:

We are hiring a Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team for a 10-month assignment to our Marseille (France) based projects.Main responsabilities include:- Completion of assembly models with installation sequence for Diagnostics, Fuelling systems, In-service inspection, Internal components and Vacuum vessel instrumentation.- Installation of TF mapping system, including feedthroughs in closure plates up to interface within Tokamak Complex.- Installation of VS coils, including detailed definition of the scope / contractual interfaces between the VS Winding Contractor (contact placed) and the FinalMechanical installations contract.- MSc or BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering.- At least 20 years’ professional experience in manufacturing and assembly of components and systems in fusion or research projects.- At least 15 years’ professional experience of the assembly of tokamaks.- Detailed knowledge of tolerances and large volume metrology.- At least 15 years’ professional experience of the preparation of manufacturing and / or construction drawings.- At least 15 years’ professional experience in preparing technical specifications and documentation associated with procurement, international tendering, and contract administration for complex construction contracts.- Detailed knowledge of procedures for working with beryllium and beryllium-contaminated environments.- Prior knowledge of and experience on the ITER project.- Excellent command of English, both verbal and written.
