Senior Director - Data Governance, Modelling and Engineering Lead

Role Overview

Lead the enterprise-wide data governance and engineering strategy and execution to build a trusted, scalable data foundation. This role shapes frameworks, platforms, and practices that ensure data quality, accessibility, and compliance - empowering smarter decisions and innovation across the business.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and enforce a robust data governance framework, including policies, procedures, standards, and data ownership models. This involves defining data domain structures, stewardship roles, and chairing or contributing to the Data Council for strategic decisions on data initiatives.
  • Lead initiatives to improve data quality and consistency for critical data assets. Implement enterprise-wide data management practices and golden record hubs to unify core data.
  • Oversee data cleansing, standardization, and resolution of data issues to maintain a single source of truth for key data entities.
  • Oversee the engineering of data pipelines, integration solutions, and data platforms. Ensure data from various sources is collected, integrated, and curated reliably for consumption.
  • Promote modern data architecture and drive the adoption of reusable data pipelines and automation in data processing.
  • Work closely with the Data + AI Product Management Lead and the Solutions and Platforms Lead to align on infrastructure and tooling, ensuring that data engineering efforts provide ready-to-consume, high-quality data products for multiple use cases.
  • Collaborate with CISO team, Risk management teams, RAI office, and Legal to implement controls that protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and ethical data mandates.
  • Establish guidelines for data access, consent, and usage, and act as an escalation point for data-related compliance issues or decisions.
