? What are we looking for?

We are looking for a Senior Database Administrator with deep expertise in Microsoft SQL Server. This is an exciting opportunity to work on enterprise-level database solutions across both on-premises and cloud environments, with a strong focus on performance tuning and high availability.

100% Remote (Spain-based candidates only)

High level of English required

? Qualifications & Experience

• 7+ years in database engineering, administration, and performance tuning.
• Strong expertise in SQL Server (T-SQL, stored procedures).
• Proficiency in SSRS and SSIS.
• Advanced skills in query optimization and execution plan analysis.
• Experience with high-availability setups: Always On, clustering, replication, log shipping.
• Solid understanding of database security, auditing, and compliance.
• Knowledge of Python and/or PowerShell scripting
• Hands-on experience with Azure SQL Server and Azure Managed Instance.

? Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage high-performance Oracle and SQL Server databases.
• Optimize queries, indexes, and stored procedures for performance and scalability.
• Administer Azure SQL Server and Azure Managed Instance, ensuring security and availability.
• Develop and maintain SSRS reports and SSIS ETL packages.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues, replication failures, and security vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams on database optimization and structure.
• Manage backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability strategies (Always On, clustering, etc. ).
• Ensure compliance with database security best practices and industry standards.
• Lead database migrations, upgrades, and cloud adoption initiatives.

? Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud-native database solutions and automation.
• Familiarity with DevOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and CI/CD for database deployments.
• Understanding of NoSQL databases and hybrid cloud environments.

? Preferred certifications:

• Oracle Database Administrator Certified Professional
• 8-17 Monday/Friday
