What you'll be doing

As a software engineer in the CUE Print team, you will develop and maintain our print publishing system in C++, optimize and enhance existing functionalities to ensure stability and performance, collaborate closely with developers, architects, testers, UX designers, and product owners to create the best solutions, participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing to ensure high-quality code, and contribute to modernizing and further developing the system architecture.

Key responsibilities

  • Implement new features ensuring accessibility, performance, and maintainability.
  • Participate in the full software lifecycle, develop and maintain solutions in collaboration with product owners to understand the product vision, analyze requirements, and write technical specifications.
  • Participate in code reviews and uphold high-quality standards.
  • Focus on security best practices, ensuring compliance and protection of sensitive data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop robust, end-to-end solutions, and work with the service department to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in software development.
What you'll bring
  • A B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent, with at least 4 years of software development experience.
  • Experience with C++ and knowledge of current C++ standards and algorithms.
  • Knowledge of software architecture, optimization, and maintaining large codebases.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git, Bitbucket, and the Atlassian suite.
  • Experience with automated testing and CI/CD pipelines (a plus but not required).
  • Ability to thrive in an agile environment, work independently and in teams.
  • Ability to set technical direction, mentor team members, and ensure best practices.
  • An intermediate understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and development best practices.
