Who are we looking for?

We are actively looking for a Satellite Operations Engineer or similar to contribute to the day-to-day operations of satellites, ensuring the successful management of operational alerts, and maintaining comprehensive reporting on the status of satellites and the ground station network.

You will be able to participate in the different steps of the development cycle for all our internal hardware developments in ground, space and user segments.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain real-time, mission-critical software solutions for satellite operations
• Define satellite communications protocols for mission design (adapting existing protocols to cubesat/new-space missions)
• Analyse data to identify issues and inefficiencies in the full stack of services and propose solutions to improve productivity
• Drive improvements to fleet capacity and productivity through process enhancements
• Monitor satellite health and perform on-orbit experiments

Profile:

• Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science or similar
• Proficiency in software development, particularly in Python or equivalent languages
• Proactive, self-starter approach to engineering and problem-solving
• Effective interpersonal and collaboration skills within a technical team
• Full professional proficiency in English.
• Familiarity with satellite engineering and/or the space environment and its challenges
• Familiarity with communications protocols (TCP/IP, CSP, MQTT, FTP, …) and standards (CCSDS, ECSS)
• Experience with Bash and Linux
• Hands-on experience operating spacecraft or remote systems
• Familiarity with automation and optimization tools
