THE ROLE

As an SAP MDG Consultant, you'll help our clients create high-quality, governable, and trusted master data at scale. You'll design, configure, and optimise SAP MDG solutions that enable better business decisions and sustainable data governance, ensuring master data is a true asset rather than a liability.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Design and configure SAP MDG for key master data domains (e.g., Customer, Vendor, Material, Finance), ensuring alignment with client requirements and industry best practice.

Work with client stakeholders to define master data standards, governance processes, approval workflows, and data models.

Integrate SAP MDG with source and target systems (SAP ECC, S / 4 HANA, and non-SAP systems).

Conduct workshops to understand business rules, pain points, and governance needs, translating them into SAP MDG functionality.

Support the build of data validation rules, user interfaces and workflows.

Collaborate with the Syniti team to align MDG design with enterprise data migration, quality, or governance initiatives.

Contribute to the growth of our MDG practice by enhancing methodologies, sharing knowledge, and supporting pre-sales when required.

Use modern tools and approaches - potentially including automation and AI accelerators - to improve master data processes and reduce ongoing operational effort.

WHAT IT TAKES

Ability to translate business requirements into scalable, user-friendly governance solutions.

Good understanding of SAP master data processes and structures across at least one major domain (customer, vendor, material, finance, etc.).

Either :

• Some hands-on configuration experience with SAP MDG (on ECC or S / 4 HANA), such as rules, workflows and UIs, or;

Deep experience of using MDG as subject matter expert / steward / key user / etc.

Excellent communication skills for workshops, demos, and stakeholder management.

Strong problem-solving skills with a structured, methodical approach.

Ability to manage time effectively and balance multiple client deliverables.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-focused consultancy environment.

Bonus points for :

Experience with Syniti's platform or other MDM / MDG-adjacent tools.

Knowledge of SAP BTP and integration technologies (IDocs, SLT, PI / PO, APIs).

Experience with data migration or data quality initiatives.

Prior consultancy or client-facing experience.

Understanding of data governance frameworks and operating models.
