About Shanti-Som Wellbeing Retreat

Shanti-Som Wellbeing Retreat is a boutique wellness retreat set in the peaceful hills of Andalucía, Spain. With just 15 rooms, we offer an intimate and highly personalised experience focused on health, wellbeing, and inner balance.

More than a hotel, Shanti-Som is a true retreat, offering structured wellness programmes including weight loss, detox, yoga, Pilates, relaxation, and holistic wellbeing. Through daily classes, meditation, guided hikes, spa treatments, and one-to-one nutritional and fitness guidance, our mission is to help guests unwind, reset, and achieve Shanti —inner peace—through a genuine and inspiring holistic experience.

Your Mission

As Reception Team Leader, you will be a key point of contact for the Shanti-Som experience, leading by example at the front desk and ensuring a warm, intuitive, and professional guest journey from arrival to departure. This is a hands‑on role focused on service excellence, coordination, and supporting the reception team through positive leadership and best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Bringing best practices to the reception team by identifying opportunities to improve workflows, communication, and guest service standards
  • Coordinating closely with Spa, Wellness, Housekeeping, and Food & Beverage teams to ensure smooth daily schedules and personalised guest experiences
  • Be the primary escalation point for guest feedback, requests, and concerns with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency
  • Maintaining high standards of organisation, attention to detail, and brand presentation at reception
  • Be the welcoming face for guests, ensuring each arrival feels like coming home
  • Manage check‑ins, check‑outs, reservations, and payments accurately and timely
  • Educate and inspire guests to explore the full range of treatments and services
  • Help maintain a calm, beautiful, and pristine space that reflects our high standards
  • Step in to support other departments as needed, including the Restaurant and Wellness centre.

Requirements
  • Previous experience in hospitality, ideally in boutique hotels or wellness retreats
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
  • Confident with PMS and general administrative tools
  • Positive, adaptable, and guest‑focused mindset
  • Own vehicle required (location not accessible by public transport).
