A fast-growing fintech scale-up is looking for an experienced Backend Engineer to help shape the future of its financial platform. With recent backing from top-tier institutional investors and a track record of supporting thousands of businesses worldwide, the company provides fast solutions that power B2B growth.

You’ll be joining a cross-functional, globally distributed engineering team, building out core financial services and infrastructure that directly impact customer experience and business outcomes.

What you'll be doing

• Building and scaling backend services using Python (Django or similar frameworks)
• Designing and maintaining clean, well-structured REST APIs
• Working with relational databases (ideally PostgreSQL) and designing performant schemas
• Writing clean, tested, production-ready code
• Collaborating closely with product, data, and design teams to ship new features
• Monitoring application performance and addressing reliability or security concerns
• Participating in code reviews and contributing to architectural discussions
• Supporting continuous improvement across the team

What we're looking for

• 3+ years of backend engineering experience (multiple levels available), ideally with Python/Django
• Deep knowledge of API design, microservices, and scalable systems
• Experience working with SQL databases and ORMs
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS
• Comfort with Git, testing frameworks (e.g., pytest), and CI/CD workflows
• A strong grasp of security best practices and data protection principles
• An effective communicator (fluent in English), a collaborative team player, and someone who thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments

Bonus points if you’ve worked in fintech or product-led SaaS businesses, but we’re open to strong engineers from all industries.
